A diligent reader forwards us this pic of ailing Cindy's in Eagle Rock and writes: "The guys standing around looking at it said it happened around 3 am
on Sunday morning, and was a byproduct of a street race."
We checked out the Daily News, but see nothing about the destruction of Cindy's. We looked at Yelp and discovered its mostly-poor reviews ("My steak was overcooked and the "gravy" was flour and water..."the pancakes taste like powder"...."the omelettes dont have cheese"). Yeah, sorry to kick you when you're down, Cindy.
UPDATE: Our sister Eater also posted about Cindy's and has more info: "We just talked to an owner who says she plans to rebuild and hopefully reopen for breakfast, lunch and dinner in about three weeks."
