While we know you're giddy with Whole Foods anticipation, we also have an update on the downtown Ralph's on 9th Street. One reader who apparently spends a lot of time scouring the ABC licensing site writes in:
Well, on the 12th of July, Ralphs got both their #21 off-sale general license whereby they can sell booze by the bottle to go, as well as their #41 on-sale beer & wine license whereby they can sell beer or wine for on-premises consumption, meaning like a wine bar, etc. Now let's fling the doors open and start drinking in celebration of downtown's having a place to buy groceries from a supermarket format.Soon it seems you can stop in for some TP and a couple of bananas, and stay for a civilized glass of wine.
