Earlier this week, Curbed checked out City Council President Eric Garcetti's press conference announcing that the pedal boats--or are they paddle boats?--would stay on the lake in Echo Park. Thanks to some last minute wheeling and dealing, Garcetti managed to save the boats from extinction. The conference culminated in a rousing boat tour by Garcetti and a staffer, both of whom proved to be quick and nimble on the pedal. Look at those feet fly! Then our feet flew, and we tripped and fell on the grass.
