Whole Foods: Grocery Store or Mall?

(Photo NOT of Fairfax store. Texas maybe?)

It's official: Whole Foods has launched its "Fridays at Fairfax" series of dinners. Pay $60 and you and your date can dine in the corner of the store. You must make a reservation, of course. Curbed checked out a "test run" about a month ago and can report that the pheasant was pretty good, but we hope the overhead lighting was changed. There are wine tastings at other LA-area Whole Foods, while the LA Times reports Whole Foods will open its second in-store full-service spa this summer in San Francisco. Yes, spa. Remember when you were a kid and there was a dirty purple horse ride outside the grocery story that cost a quarter? How grocery shopping entertainment has changed.
