The Tree People on Million Trees, LAUSD, and China

Villaraigosa wants to plant a million trees in Los Angeles? Pshaw! What a pussy. Why not make it two? The Planning Report interviews Andy Lipkis, president and founder of TreePeople on what it will take to make Villaraigosa's dream a reality (hint: money helps), why tree branches don't constitute a health hazard for LAUSD (hint: skin cancer is worse), and how the charette process contributes to planning (hint: consensus building helps!). We were hoping for more pictures of people in trees, but thankfully we have Daryl Hannah for that.
