We got all excited about the helicopter at 655 Hope, a downtown adaptive re-use, but sadly, the helicopter isn't some private mode of transportation for residents--the pad is required by the city (so police/fire can use it). Discouraged, we offer this news: the former office building is being turned into 80 units and prices are expected to range from the $400,000s for a 600-square-foot one-bedroom to the $900,000s for a 1,268-square-foot two-bedroom. Be interesting to see if prices change or not by spring 2008, the building's move-in date. Pre-sales are on now and there's an interesting ad campaign going on...pic after the jump.
