We are so glad other journalists and bloggers leave their homes to go interview people, search for gators and hike with city council members. That way we can keep eating ding dongs in our underwear at home and just point to all of their hard work. LA Weekly photographer Rena Kosnett writes to let us know she recently traipsed through the burnt embers of Griffith Park with Tom LaBonge to assess the damage. The good news: there are pockets are plant life still thriving among the charred remains. The bad news: everything else. We'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
