Even More Container Homes: Now In Venice

[Rendering: Omar Santillian]

We are barely capable of composing ourselves over the news there is even more container house fun to be had - this time in Venice. The good people at DeMaria Associates have sent us a rendering and construction photo from their latest project at 1312 Innes Place. We are a bit late with this news since we had been out of town, but it seems they've topped off the 14 container building last week:

The through lot also fronts onto Main Street, just north of the "circle" in Venice. The project is the first two story plus, mixed-use container project in the City of LA and quite possibly, the first in the US. Residential above with a small commercial gallery and parking at the ground level. If we get out to Venice one day soon, we'll snap some photos. Or perhaps some of our Venice readers can save us the gas and send them over. In the meantime, we'll make do with pretty computer renderings.
