A Curbed reader alerts us to the news that the Archdiocesan Catholic Center on Wilshire Blvd. is being put up for sale. Why? Money. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles settled 46 civil cases last year, with the total settlement topping out at $60 million---the Archdiocese has contributed about $40 million of the total amount. In addition to the central administrative building, "50 properties have already been identified, and further appraisals are being sought on their fair market value," according to the release.
