New Fairfax Development

Coming to 801 N. Fairfax Ave: a 93-unit apartment building with a lotta ground floor retail: 15,600 square feet. The project, which is being developed by Sherman Oaks developers Frost/Chaddock, will replace a single-story retail building, an auto body shop and residential units (which residential units? We would like to know).

James Frost, principal of Frost/Chaddock, tells Globe St. the project “will represent one of the first zone changes to RAS-4 ” ( the new mixed-use zoning classification for LA). The project, which will be done in about two years, is being designed by John Reed Architectural Group of Santa Monica. We're not entirely sure, but Reed may have helped design this Barnes & Noble in Santa Monica.
