Yellowpages.com Settles on Glendale

Everyone is all fired up about Yellowpages.com moving into Glendale and renting 73,611 square feet at 611 North Brand Boulevard, a 14-story office building. As Curbed readers will recall, there is concern about the high vacancy rate in Glendale, but the Yellowpages.com announcement--a deal worth more than $12.5 million--seems to be easing some of that worry. But why did those walking fingers sashay over to Glendale? Well, according to the San Fernando Business Journal, there's really nowhere else to go. And given the lack of available space in the San Fernando Valley "brokers have felt it would only be a matter of time before tenants were forced to reconsider [Glendale]" notes the paper.
