Shoppes Coming to Queen Mary?

Having submitted a $41 million bid for the lease of Queen Mary,
O&S Holdings has plans refurbish the ship and add a retail-entertainment plaza, says the LA Times. Santa Monica-based O& S, for those needing a refresher, are behind the Newbury Park Village in Thousand Oaks (pictured above), Foothill Crossing in Rancho Cucamongo, and Goleta Bowl in Goleta, California. O & S has plenty of developments elsewhere around the country--lotta places with names like Crossing, Town Centre, and Shoppes. (They also own the curious-sounding Mall Ring Circle in Henderson, Nevada). Other bids may be submitted, but an official offer for the Queen Mary will be accepted this summer.
