ECHO PARK - Hey, we got the contact info for the Ramona Theater ownership, but it's some old guy in Glendale and we feel weird giving it out. But a reader has info on possible activity at the site. "I live a few blocks north from the Ramona Theater in Echo Park. It always looks abandoned with no signs of life... until last weekend. My boyfriend and I were riding by (yes, road bikes and yes, we are hipsters) and noticed two men walking around inside. The lights were turned on and it looked like they were cleaning up. I don't care what they do with it... as long as American Apparel doesn't take it over." [CurbedWire Inbox]
WEST HOLLYWOOD - This is the last week to check out the Metropolitan Home exhibit and to get a peak at some sweet design work. Via our press release inbox: "Located in the chic "Bird Streets" above Sunset Boulevard, the LA|OpenHouse: Modern by Design showhouse is an elegant union of contemporary architecture and design. The modern residence is infused with Art Deco touches throughout... Terrazzo floor tiles add to the classic, mid-century modern feel of the house which harmoniously melds interior and exterior spaces with floor to ceiling windows and glass doors." The showhouse is located at 9248 Swallow Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90069 and tix are $25. [CurbedWire Inbox/Project AngelFood]
