Ugly Building Contest Entry Roundup

While we wait to receive the results from our beautiful judges, we're happy to share with you most if not all of the entries that we received for our Ugliest Building Contest. We'll post these until we announce the winner next week. Stay tuned for more exciting details.

12229 Ventura Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 91604
READER SUBMITTAL: “ROMANOV RESTAURANT. This may not win, but it HAS to be a finalist. This is on Ventura Boulevard just west of Laurel Canyon in Studio City. It is so awful, I don't know where to begin. It is obviously hideous, but it also doesn't seem to know what style it is. Part Valley strip mall, part Taj Mahal, part Kremlin along with some of the old roof line (mid-century/almost chalet) showing on the side??? I'm not an architecture buff nor a wordsmith, so I have nothing clever to write, other than this is my nominee for the ugliest building in LA.”
