Desert Living: 2020

"Open House: Architecture and Technology for Intelligent Living," an exhibition featuring the designs of 10 brainy architects, opens on Saturday at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Projects include Dunehouse, pictured above, a Nevada desert home covered in a self-regulating lizard-like skin. After the jump, renderings of the Jellyfish House, a home on Treasure Island that filters toxic water, and the Seoul Commune--literally a "green" community that also interacts with the environment.
