Our Favorite Anti-Development Sites: Recall Jack Weiss

Number seven in a continuing series of our non-biased reviews of anti-development web sites which dot the Southern California internets. This week... RECALL JACK WEISS.

Like any good recall campaign, you need a good web site. This is the attempt by some on the Westside to recall Councilman Jack Weiss (CD5) for his unfettered support of developers, lazy eye toward traffic, and frequent badgering of the elderly. Unfortunately, it appears that we caught the Recall Jack Weiss web site in its infancy because beyond a few links and some minimal graphics, we don't have too much to get excited about. If it was us doing the site we'd have photoshopped pics of Jack with bloody fangs, Jack driving a bulldozer through a retirement home, or Jack wearing a Giants jersey. Ya know, something exciting and infuriating... and strangely erotic. But we're not donating to some craptastic organization that can't upload a photo and put up some text.

What is it About: Recalling Jack Weiss (CD5) and collecting money to do so.
Buzzwords: "protect voters", "contribute"
Last Update: Site registered in October 2006; last updated March 23, 2007
Site Design: There's more white on that page than in the entire Westside. Two links to contribute, one link to volunteer and one link to provide feedback. The Feedback email link references the site TellJackWeiss.com, where visitors are encouraged to tell Jack Weiss that they're not happy with development and they are "being choked by traffic." The Recall Jack Weiss web site seems to show an escalation in Jack Weiss web sites. Can PleaseGoAwayJackWeiss.com or EnoughAlreadyJackWeiss.com be far behind?
Our Judgement (on the scale of 1 to 5 NIMBYs, 5 being the best): 1.75 NIMBYs
