Even though voters shot down Prop H--the billion dollar affordable housing bond--Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said yesterday that he'll campaign again, possibly next February, for the bond. "I'm prepared to put it back on the ballot, to use my capital," Villaraigosa told the LA Times at the press conference in Echo Park. The conference announced the release of $82 million from a city trust fund to help pay for 1,222 units, including six projects in the Valley.
Given Democratic support for the housing proposal, Villaraigosa said the bond vote may be tied into either the presidential primary or general election.
