Just as we were wondering if prefab would live up to its hype, we spot this rendering for a 2,900-square-foot beach house in Venice. The 3-bedroom courtyard home comes with a lap pool, office & media room/library and a roof deck with exterior fireplace. Prefabricated and delivered as a panelized home, it’ll start going up this summer (we may have to send out paparazzi to photograph the process).
It’s the first Los Angeles project from Resolution: 4 Architecture, but word on the boardwalk is that the NYC firm has designs for a dozen more prefab homes in our fine city. Bring your sunscreen, Res 4, because yes, the LA sun is actually that bright.
