California High-Speed Trains: In Stunning 4D

A reader provides us with an unbelievably cool update on the preparation of an EIR (yeah, we know...zzzzzzz) by the California High Speed Rail Authority for the study of a high speed train between San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Via the excited reader: "This state agency is funded to study this project and has already done a project-level environmental document for the project. They've also put up a cool video rendering and presentation on their website and on YouTube.

As a planner for a local city in the alignment, I've been following the proposal for a few years, and definitely knew that the Curbed crowd would appreciate the cool 4D renderings at a minimum!" Does this mean we'll soon be able to commute from San Francisco?
