Aussie mall operator Westfield Group is expanding its Sherman Oaks Westfield Fashion Square by 1/3 of its size, adding 280,000 square feet and 80 stores to the mall's existing 120 stores, and two new parking decks, four new restaurants and a revamped food court. Worried about the expansion: the Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association board and the Studio City Residents Association, as well as City Councilwoman Wendy Greuel, who calls traffic around the mall a "disaster." Cut to the chase, Wendy, we like that. Westfield disagrees, saying their plan calls for adding new left-turn lanes, traffic lights and signs in the area.
