Councilman Greig Smith (CD12) has introduced a motion to save the historical Dynamite Shack in the Chatsworth area. Although similarly named, the Dynamite Shack should not be confused with Councilman Rosendahl's Boom Boom Room in Laguna Beach. However, the gays may frequent both locales.
The Dynamite Shack (picture not available) was used to store dynamite during the construction of the Santa Susana Railroad Tunnel (picture not available) between 1898 and 1904. The tunnel connected Simi Valley to Chatsworth, aiding in the movement of goods to our fair city.
