Lots of loose ends being tied up this week. From our Inbox we get news that the War on Tara in West Hollywood has come to a conclusion with the historic home at 1343 Laurel being saved from old people and their need for housing. The Court of Appeals of the State of California, Second Appellate District Division Eight has decided in favor of preservationists, noting in their decision: "The fact of the matter is the public was denied the right to participate in the decision making process." Essentially, as far as we can decipher, the decision blocks WEHO's attempts to put affordable senior housing on a portion of the property, leaving the property to the people. So what's left in our continuing battles of citizens and government - perhaps the war on bark-happy dogs?
