Boyle Heights is getting a new high school, which is only mildly interesting news in and of itself. What is interesting is that East Los Angeles High School #1 (home of the Fighting Onesies) will be the first new high school in East Los Angeles in 85 years. The $71 million new school will have an emphasis on keeping kids enrolled science and will house about 1,000 students when they do show up.
