El Prado, the Mexican cowboy bar at 1805 Sunset (right across from The Echo) is re-opening in March and word on the street is the place is getting fancier. The new manager would only tell us beer, wine and "snacks" will be served (snacks doesn't mean Chex-Mex in a bowl, we're assuming). Chicken Corner reported Spaceland owner Mitchell Frank's name is on the change of ownership application; we're told that a consortium of Silver Lake businessmen will be running the joint.
