LA Downtown News reports the Million Dollar Theatre is getting all gussied up and will re-open as a 2,200-seat space this spring. Designed by William L. Woolett, the 1918 theater at Third and Broadway has had various incarnations as a movie theater, vaudeville theater and Hispanic evangelical church. Opening in the next three months, the theater may be used for rock concerts and movie premieres, and it looks like they've applied for a liquor license.
