The WeHo News reports that The Palm Restaurant received city approval to develop a 42-unit mixed-use development, despite community opposition. In the latest outrage to unhinge the community (see: chickens, toddlers, sexy gyms, flaming bars) the project was permitted to build to a height of 62-feet despite a 45-foot height limit. Councilman Jeff Prang summarized the outrage: “While we didn't increase zoning per se, we expanded density potential with no independent review, debate, or public process." The developer refused to give WeHo News any renderings of the project, which has been described as "beautiful."
