Rumblings & Bumblings: Koreatown Fire, WeHo Park, Rita Flora, Red!

Every week we ask you to answer pressing questions from your curious, but ill-informed neighbors. You may leave a comment or you can email us at la@curbed.com with your answers, updates. comments, tips, and general queries. Answers are posted on Thursday.

1) West Hollywood: Funny. Didn't we report on a groundbreaking early this year. Since then no word on anything. "Does anybody out there know if the 3rd and final "RED" building is finally going up at the Pacific Design Center??"

2) Hancock Park Adj.: We have no idea. "I drive by Rita Flora every morning and have noticed they have a for lease sign up for prime corner location with Rita Flora as the contact number. Any idea what is for lease? Happi Songs maybe?"

3) West Hollywood: Where's our park and cement pond? "A few years ago, 2003 to be exact, the City of West Hollywood enlisted community input for a City Park Master Plan including a new swimming pool. What ever happened to this new Master City Park Plan?"

4) Koreatown: Suspicious fire query. Let's solve a crime. "...the north eastern empty lot at the corner of 6th and Hobart, recently a sign has gone up saying the property is available to build on. There use to be a small apartment building on that site. At some point tenants vacated, I don't know the when or why. Maybe under the Ellis Act... 2 or 3 years ago, during the winter and the rainy, damp season, at about 6 or 7 pm the apartment building mysteriously caught fire. Really strange (and convenient). As it had been vacant for a long time, I cannot imagine it still had electricity or any other sort of power. Does anyone know what investigators determined to be the cause of fire?"
