Those pesky adult entertainment businesses (aka strip clubs, XXX bookstores, massage parlors) are perverting our adorable children and there's little we're able to do to protect them. Now the City Council is taking action. A motion introduced this week requests the Planning Department to draft an ordinance prohibiting new adult businesses from opening within 500-feet of a school travel route. How a travel route is defined is unclear, but we would guess it's anywhere there's a sidewalk.
