What's Up With That: Fortress on Fountain

New, 34 comments

Another excellent "What's Up" question, in which we answer your queries about the puzzling LA landscape. This time, a reader want to know what's going on with the house on the northwest corner of Fountain and McCadden, which may be the most secure place in all of Los Angeles.

Dear Curbed: "...on the corner of Fountain & McCadden Place in Hollywood there is a house with no less than 10 no trespassing signs, a chain link fence and - get this, razorwire. Lots and lots of razorwire. Whats up with that? It looks like someone is fortifying against a Zombie attack." While hard to see, there is razorwire going around the chain link fence which is reinforced by wood beams and thick metal barricades. There are additional "No Trespassing" signs on the garage door and around the corner. We'll find the most accurate answer and post by the end of the day. If you have a What's Up question, please email us. UPDATE: It's for sale, listed at $699,000.
