Curbed LA PriceSpotter Big Reveal

New, 45 comments

Thank you to those of you participating again in this week's game. We gave you a property that sold during the better days of the LA housing market, and you tried to give us what you thought the sale price was. Now the answer to last Friday's This is Eagle Rock...

Sale Price: $765,000, May 10, 2007
Listing: This home in Eagle Rock, as several of you noted, is a bit schizo. A blue art-deco front half with a California/Spanish revival back half, and that super shiny kitchen. The home is located north of Hill Drive on a cul-de-sac, and features (per the listing): "Hand painted beams, custom tiles, fountains and a welcoming spa call for candles, guitars, tinkling glasses." View the virtual tour here.

Congrats to guesser Pete McFerrin who was only $1,000 below the sale price. You amaze us yet again, Pete. Commenter Neil in Toronto was also close, with a guess just $2k above the sale price. We don't know how, but with 37 guesses, all of your under-guesses and over-guesses canceled each other out and unbelievably the lot of you guessed an average of $257 above the actual sale price. (Note: The outlier guess of $12 million was not included.)
