WEST HOLLYWOOD: The David Barton Gym, and the three story office building proposed to go around it, had its first public vetting before the concerned citizenry of WeHo earlier this week. As we mentioned previously, the gym will go on the site of the former Tower Records building. David Barton (and his huge arms) showed up to show off pictures of sweaty attractive people working out and enjoying quality spa time. The proposed building will include a 300-car valet parking garage. Reaction, we are told, was mixed. [CurbedWire Staff]

WESTCHESTER/LAX: As linked to previously, the Equity Office will break ground this year on one-of-two new Silver LEED-certified office buildings in the Howard Hughes Center, with a combined floor area of 500,000 square feet. A reader was kind enough to forward a rendering (above) of the first building, 5901 Center Drive, being designed by Gensler. The two new buildings will fill the last remaining parcels in the HH Center. [CurbedWire Inbox/GlobeSt.]

LOS ANGELES: Close, but no donut. After being contacted by Dunkin' Donuts about a promotion they're running to introduce their coffee to LA we thought we had an exclusive line on a potential DD store opening in the metro area. But alas, we get the standard PR spiel: There are no specific expansion plans for Los Angeles to announce at this time. However, Dunkin' Donuts is currently in the midst of the most aggressive, exciting expansion in the company's history... We will be sure to let you know if and when we have any specific news about Los Angeles." Sorry folks. [CurbedWire Staff]
