And here comes the stroller set: The Downtown News' reporter and expecting mom Kathryn Maese reports on the area's baby boom. With the "baby brigade popping up everywhere from the Historic Core to South Park," it seems parents are loving living downtown, reports Maese. For starters, urban moms don't have to rely on a car and can just walk outside (a good thing since it can be isolating to be a new mom, we'll add). As for the downside of a family living in downtown, there are concerns about lack of primary schools, says Maese, who'd also like to see more green space. Yes, less insane-looking high schools, and more primary schools please. So the children can learn to spell Famima!!.
