In 2000, Wade Killefer of Killefer Flammang Architects took an inventory of downtown buildings that would be suitable for residential conversion, a process which helped spur the revitalization of downtown, notes blog Angelenic. In that spirit, Angelenic counts off twelve buildings they'd like to see converted, basing the list on "architectural significance, location, conversion-potential and basic 'curb appeal”.'" Top three on their list: 1. Warner Brothers Downtown Theatre (pictured) 2. Merritt Building 3. United Artists Theatre.
