Earlier this week, West Hollywood city officials announced their new Green Building program which mandates that all new construction--public or private--be green. It's the first such green building program in the country, according to WeHo officials, who've implemented a new point system similar to LEED (projects must get 60 out of 160 possible points).
Oh, and why didn't you hear more about this big green program on the news? The WeHo press event was held on Monday, on the day that Kiefer Sutherland had his DUI courthouse hearing, so the media was there, a disappointed city official tells Curbed.
