The LA Times is reporting that the federal courthouse at Spring and Temple streets in the Civic Center was evacuated shortly after a black brief case was found this morning; the briefcase was reported about 7:45 a.m. Bomb police squad on the scene.
UPDATE, 11: 51 PM PST: Dirty bomb, dirty laundry--what's the difference? The brief case turned out to be an unattended travel bag of clothes, reports the AP.
