Good times, everyone. A reader emails in confusing details about one of those always fun downtown protests that has shut down Figueroa. "what's going on downtown... like a riot... 400 people just stormed into the [westin bonaventure hotel]." Hmmm. All we can find is the protest and march planned for 2pm today against Police Brutality, which is planned to start at Parker Center and end at MacArthur Park. It could also be one of those exciting strikes currently taking place: Writer's Guild or Sanitation Workers. All we need is a good old fashioned earthquake to make this the perfect Southern California day.
