President Jimmy Carter will be coming to LA next week to negotiate peace between man and fire as part of Habitat for Humanity's Jimmy Carter Work Project 2007 in Los Angeles. The former President will be overseeing the construction of several homes in South LA and San Pedro, according to the presser we received. Prez Carter will arrive Sunday and leave on November 2nd.
The work week will also kick off Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles’ "Building a Greater Los Angeles" campaign, which is a comprehensive initiative actively helping address the region's affordable housing crisis by building or renovating an additional 150 homes in Los Angeles County over a three-year period total. By the time the fires end, we hope that the 150 homes will still be a net increase in the region's housing stock.
