For shipping container architecture-obsessed readers wanting an update on the new community center/parsonage house on East 7th Street in Boyle Heights that's being built out of seven shipping containers: Project architect Peter DeMaria, who also did the container home in Redondo Beach, emails us a wonderful, esoteric-sounding update. It's after the jump, as is another photo--both pictures were taken last week.
Via Peter DeMaria: "Project is moving swiftly. Owners, neighbors and guests have all traveled up into the first container and now find a clear view of the 5 Freeway where the same cargo containers go trucking by - the truckers see the container building and the container building owners view the containers on the trucks - "cargo container dialogue" - only in LA."
