In a plan to boost ridership on the Gold Line, the L.A. CRA has proposed to the MTA to make WiFi available along the route. Because many would-be riders must be thinking, “If only I could do my daily porn browsing whilst commuting, then I would surely take the Gold Line!”, the CRA is hoping that more people will find public transit “more interesting” and become regular users of the not-so-fast Gold Line if the MTA funds the plan. The WiFi would be free to riders, and they could pay a small fee if they want to a faster connection to illegally download music and videos while riding the rails. MTA will decide on the plan in a few months.
