In a completely unplanned tie-in, the LA Business Journal reports today that the doomed Trader Vic's will be replaced by a Waldorf-Astoria hotel.
Beny Alagem’s Oasis West Realty LLC has finalized his plans for final phase of the Beverly Hilton Hotel renovation, announcing Thursday that a Waldorf-Astoria hotel will be built at the corner of Santa Monica and Wilshire boulevards. The design of the combined hotel complex will be decidedly less Polynesian and a bit more luxury-garden. Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects is listed as the firm behind the plans we can't wait to pick apart.
