The Fuzz. The Heat. Smokey. The Po-Po. Bobbies, if you're British. The LAPD is getting no love for its planned headquarters downtown. How many ways is it hated? LA Observed counts the ways: ugly building instead of a proposed park, ruins the view for LA Times staffers and Higgins Building residents, and that old bromide - more traffic. And as LA Observed points out, BlogDowntown isn't much of a fan either, as pedestrians will lose one of the few walker-friendly streets as 2nd Street's trees are torn up and the street widened. Maybe Mayne could step in to save the trees surrounding his Death Star?
