Another Australian Takes to the Hills

For those keeping track of such things, the second Australian in under a month has relocated from wherever to the Hollywood Hills. This is a return trip for Heath Ledger who previously gave up a home in Beachwood Canyon, vowing not to raise his children in Hollywood. Haha. That's what we all say.

The $2.3 million home was once owned by talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and has been dubbed the 'Treehouse'. It has sweeping views and celebrity neighbours including Kirsten Dunst and Matthew McConaughey. The couple, who have a nine-month-old daughter, Matilda, currently live in a Brooklyn, New York town house and recently sold their beach front home in Sydney, Australia because the paparazzi could see into the front of the glass structure. The Treehouse, designed by Marmol + Radziner, is a 2,000 sq. ft, zen meets 1950s post and beam masterpiece. The home had a previous mention on Defamer when it first went on the market back in January for $2.4 million.
