As Tom Colicchio prepares to open his first LA outpost of Craft, he's also filming season 2 as one of the judges in Bravo's Top Chef. Leaving San Francisco for the farmer's markets and burger stands of LA, the show's producers promise to the contestants won't be spending all of their time in the kitchen: "The contestants will reside and most of the season's production activity will be centered in the city's culturally burgeoning downtown area." So for those of you counting reality TV chef competitions at home, that makes LA 2(Top Chef, Hell's Kitchen faux-restaurant on a FOX affiliate lot), New York 1(sure, they may have hosted The Next Food Network Star but CA dominated that mofo. We were pulling for you, Reggie).
In the meantime, expect to see Top Chef contestants invading a taco stand near you soon.
