Zillow has used some kind of new math - current Zestimates divided by the finished square footage of homes - to calculate the location of the most expensive and least expensive areas of Los Angeles. As you might guess, the heat, in the form of darker reds, is located along the coasts. More interesting, to us at least, is where to find cheap housing. In the City of LA, a pocket between USC and Downtown and the area around Boyle Heights present the best opportunities for very, very affordable housing. Once you leave LA, places like Ontario and Corona and other areas of the Inland Empire continue to be attractive options for living. But the commute? Oy!
