MTA Wins the Pulitzer of Transit. No, Really. We're Serious. Stop Laughing.

For the first time ever, the LA County MTA has been named the 2006 Outstanding Public Transportation System by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA). Citing increasing ridership and customer satisfaction, as well as greater efficiency. The press release also cites the, um, smashing success of the Orange Line (conveniently ignoring all those crashes that kept occuring on a regular basis when the service started). But who are we to quibble? Baby steps, right?
