Ranking Our Priorities

Spacing Wire, out of Toronto, had a great post yesterday looking at GoogleTrends, which tracks how often words or phrases are used in relation to certain cities. For instance the above chart comes from a search on the phrase "public space". Torontonians (?) should be proud, as their city is #2 on the list, meaning that Toronto is one of the top places in the English-speaking world discussing public space. LA is #10. Not too shabby. What else are we talking about in LA?

Affordable Housing: nope
Homeless: LA is #9
Mass Transit: nope
Traffic: LA is #2
Fake breasts: LA is #3
Botox: LA is #3 (Irvine is #1)

We have some work to do.
