Oh, that President Bush. The Prez has declared the month of June to be 'National Homeownership Month' in order to "raise awareness of homeownership and encourage more Americans to consider the benefits of owning their own home." Home-what? What was that again. You say you can own a home?? When did that happen... goodness. The National Association of Realtors (NAR) reports that they are supporting this initiative by sending out a kit to local realtor organizations titled "It takes a Realtor". What does it take a realtor to do? In addition to building better homes, neighborhoods and cities, NAR President Thomas Stevens says, “Realtors® will keep donating their time to manage community improvement projects, and we will continue to speak up and work for everyone’s homeownership rights. It’s up to us to ensure that our voice comes through loud and clear. There’s no challenge we can’t overcome together.” Sing it, sister!
