As if we need another reason to become enraged while on the freeway, this graffiti (above) on one of those expensive electronic signs on the 101 has taken graffiti to the next level. We saw this last week and couldn't believe what we were seeing. How did they get up there? Why wasn't someone scrubbing it off? LA City Nerd is equally enraged. Chief Bratton, please get your shiniest beating stick ready and start cracking some heads.

The Newport Beach area is the third most expensive zip code in the country, according to a report by Forbes. The uber-rich who call Newport Beach home are escaping the riff-raff further north in LA, while enjoying ocean breezes, spectacular views, and their botoxed and boob enhanced neighbors. Too bad their kids are so f'd up.

LA Observed has a picture of a space ship landing inside the Coliseum... oh, wait. That's just the new NFL ready Coliseum as proposed by architects. Ugh. Mayor Villaraigosa announced yesterday that he will lead a delegation to Dallas next week to pitch LA as the site for a new NFL franchise (or two). The Mayor hopes the NFL will foot the bill for the $800 million renovation needed to upgrade the Coliseum to NFL standards.

Median home prices are down! Sales are up! The median home price in LA County for March was $556,750, down from the previous month. Statewide the picture is a little different with the median home price rising and sales falling. So what to do? Buy if you can afford it or wait - we don't care.
