Some of you may be heading to Coachella in a couple of weeks to relive your junior high glory days with Depeche Mode and Madonna, but hanging out with aging hipsters isn't the only thing to do in the desert next week. A Daily Dose of Architecture points us to an architecture installation in Indio of...cylinders. Lots and lots of cylinders designed by The Art Office. Next move: inhabitable cylinders that serve as lookout towers. To keep out the aging hipsters invading their desert perhaps? Whatever they're for, we just think they look cool.
