BlogDowntown reports, and an email from a reader also confirms, that plans are on the drawing board for two large towers to be built in Downtown near the corner of Grand & Olympic. The towers appear to be massive (50 and 60 stories), and are described on builder Robertson Partners' web site as being "a mixed-use building with residential condos, a five story hotel, Class A office space and retail space." We can't tell if there are two separate buildings or one building with two towers. C-R-A-Z-Y.

The cost of USC's new Galen Center has ballooned from $70 million to $100 million. The new kick-ass sports venue, which will house the men's and women's basketball teams and some other stuff, is scheduled to be completed on September 12th. But dude, did you hear about those two fucking huge towers downtown. C-R-A-Z-Y.

We're sorry, we really can't continue this Linkage after hearing about those two huge towers being built in Downtown LA. Our liver is bursting or something. Holy shit.
